Live the Question Coaching

Coaching

Hello to you all. Thanks for reading about coaching. I’m so glad you’re curious about this work, because it is so important! My coaching work is not about ‘how to parent’, it’s not about behavioral issues or parenting strategies for a more peaceful day-to-day with your children. This work is for you. The You that loves your kiddos more than anything, and yet feels stifled within the pressures, obligations and responsibilities you carry. The roles you fulfill (mother/father/parent, spouse, employee, professional, the list goes on) take up all the space, more than all. We try so hard to be everything that we want our children to have. We carry such pressure to fulfill obligations to clients or employers, to hustle, win, compete. We caretake more than just our children. It can be utterly mystifying how to show up in our marriages or partnerships, at the end of these longest days. And there is too often nothing left for us, of us. When is the last time you did that thing you used to do, before kids, that you used to love so much? (Motorcycle riding, painting, salsa dancing, watching old movies, going to the lake, playing the instrument, daydreaming…) These things aren’t trivial. The world needs you filled up, needs your unique gifts. Your kids need that. You need it. I want every mother, father, and parent to have the permission to have needs. I want you to feel relief from the internalized expectations and fight back against the never-ending external expectations. I want to help you unpack the messages that would have you give everything away until there’s nothing left of you, that would have you perpetually "on" and never quite enough. You deserve to live, to have your own pleasures and creativity and rest and peace, filled up and fully resourced. That’s what we want to give our kids. Prioritizing your own self-love and sense of worthiness is NOT selfish—it's absolutely essential. This is not a straightforward process. A favorite quote from Rilke urges us to ‘live the question’ and ‘be patient towards all the remains unsolved in our hearts.’ This work, like parenting, is ever-unfolding and makes the work of parenting richer, more beautiful, more precious. Doing this work of showing up to ourselves, carving out space for ourselves in these packed lives, allows us to appreciate and more fully experience the good stuff we don’t want to miss. This is a journey to rediscover your creativity and selfhood. I invite you to embrace the questions, live them fully, and gradually, gently, step into a more balanced and self-honoring way of being. Give me a call or text and let’s talk more about how we make this happen. I offer 1:1 individual coaching, couples’ coaching, support groups, and workshops.

Coaching, Therapy

I am a somatic psychotherapist specializing in Women's health. The foundation of my approach to psychotherapy is in addressing the needs of the nervous system, helping clients to understand their own behavior and to improve their ability to live in their desired experience (less anxious, less depressed, more hopeful, etc.). In addition, my training provides the opportunity to address the distress of living in experiences that we never wanted to have and don't want to be the reality. I am dedicated to providing women with a safe environment to process trauma, grief, loss, fears and hopes as they manage the tasks of daily life. I offer support specifically to women as they move towards and transition into motherhood, with awareness and training in reproductive mental health. Many women are not prepared for the challenges that may arise while TTC. Infertility is often a very lonely experience, pregnancy loss is traumatic and can be isolating; I provide a space for you to be seen, heard and validated. For many women issues arise in the 4th trimester when the increased demands of motherhood collide with past experiences, new ways of being in the world, and the myriad of challenges & joys related to family life. I offer tele-health and in-person sessions depending on clients location and flexibility. Free 20 minute consultations are provided to determine if we are a good therapeutic fit. Every mother deserves support, encouragement, and a sacred space to process their own experience. Please see my website for more information.
