Beka Blythe
Director & Facilitator
Welcome! My name is Beka Blythe, Founder of For Love & Babes. I am also a Certified Professional Midwife who specializes in prenatal care, natural birth, postpartum well-being, lactation support and childbirth education.
I have a background in hospital birth as an OB-tech, and as a doula and began studying midwifery in 2009. I was a midwifery student for about 4 years and studied with multiple preceptors in the Four Corners area and studied abroad in the Philippines. I have been licensed and practicing in Colorado and New Mexico since 2014 and feel so blessed to provide midwifery services to families in the community I love.
After the birth of my youngest son I found myself needing support that didn't yet exist in our community. It was through that experience and recognizing the same needs in other women I served that motivated me to take part in starting the For Love & Babes organization. It's been such a privilege to serve families in this way, and with the incredible FL&B team.
I live in Ignacio on a horse ranch with my husband and three amazing children. We all enjoy spending time as a family with our many animals and in the beautiful outdoors that surround us.

Lindsay Dozoretz
Facilitator
Hi, I'm Lindsay Dozoretz, and I'm so excited to be a part of For Love & Babes. As a full-time working mother of one, I can attest to how important it is to nurture a community network of support around motherhood, and particularly during the tender and vulnerable post-partum time. One of my roles in our community is as a teacher of Prenatal Yoga (currently holding a weekly class at YogaDurango) - and the thing I love most about the class is the way it builds community, connecting soon-to-be moms during pregnancy. It is only natural to me that I want to continue to be a part of facilitating that community into motherhood, and I am thrilled for the opportunity to support women in our community to be connected, and to connect with one another in an empowered, vulnerable, real and supportive way. I can't think of more important work: for ourselves, for our children, and for our world. Grateful to be a part of this amazing team and looking forward to all that is to come!

Emily Fields
Facilitator
Hi! I’m Emily Fields — mother to two little ones, Georgie and Griffin, and a labor and delivery nurse with over six years of experience supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum transition. I’ve always loved all things pregnancy and birth, and feel deeply passionate about caring for and supporting mothers during such a transformative season of life.
When I became pregnant with my daughter in 2023, I assumed my nursing background had prepared me for motherhood. But after welcoming her in 2024, I quickly realized that while I knew how to care for a baby, I knew very little about what it meant to become a mother myself — to step into an entirely new version of who I was.
I found For Love and Babes through one of my patients and was encouraged to join a group during early motherhood. Walking alongside other women experiencing the same joys, challenges, and identity shifts was truly life-changing. The support, honesty, and connection I found there impacted me so deeply that I joined again after the birth of my second child. Now, I feel incredibly honored to step into the role of facilitator and be witness to other mothers as they navigate their own matrescence journeys.
When I'm not working, I help my husband on our organic farm in the Animas Valley. Raising my children outdoors and in Durango has been a dream come true and I'm so grateful to be a part of this beautiful community and watch my children grow up here!

Jo Florence
Facilitator
Growing up, I was fascinated with babies and pregnancy, seeking every opportunity to learn from the pregnant women around me. I have studied dance, herbalism, wildcrafting, wilderness therapy, and women’s medicine- all of which have prepared me for being in birth work. In 2020, I apprenticed under a doula for 6 months and took a midwifery class at Ina May's Farm in Tennessee. In 2021 I began working at Juniper Canyon Recovery as a wilderness guide teaching bushcraft skills and learning much about the experience of being a woman. I am passionate about educating and empowering women to be intimately connected to their bodies, cycles, and birth. In 2022, I moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon to begin my midwifery apprenticeship. I moved to Durango in July of 2024 to finish my apprenticeship under the midwives, Joy & Annie. I’m honored to be able to serve the mamas and families in the Four Corners area.

Ashley French-Holt
Facilitator
Hello, my name is Ashley French-Holt. I am mother to 2 spirited daughters and have been a Registered Nurse since 2013. I worked in a hospital setting as a Mother/Baby nurse for many years and then transitioned into public health, working as a nurse home visitor with the Nurse-Family Partnership program and then in care coordination for the local public health clinic. I am also a HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator and have taught some classes here and there as needed. The last few years, I have transitioned to full-time work as Tiny Human Wrangler and Keeper of the Schedules, also known as mothering!
Supporting women and families during pregnancy, birth, and early childhood has always been what brings me joy and energy. I loved working in the Nurse Family Partnership program which allowed me to build intimate, long-term relationships with women in the thick of the transition to motherhood. The honest, lived experiences and vulnerable sharing that these women trusted me with has impacted the person and mother I am today. To nurture and be a part of this kind of intimacy, realness, and community-building is what drew me to For Love & Babes.
I live with my husband and daughters in a beautiful cohousing neighborhood in Bayfield. We enjoy camping, hiking, and just generally submersing ourselves in the wild, natural beauty of this area. I have also been an active member of The Community Treehouse in Bayfield since the birth of my first child. Being a part of supportive communities that foster and grow authentic connection and belonging has been a driving force and value in my life as a mother. I am grateful and honored to be a part of the For Love & Babes team and to walk this path with you.

I have worked with the whole body system for over twenty-five years.I am an Advanced Certified Rolfer, Hakomi Practitioner, Trauma Coach, Doula and Somatic Sex Educator. As a holistic practitioner, I mentor the client on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level in order to provide opportunities for healing. My work is designed to both comfort and interrupt the clients system. My intention is to provide an accepting, curious and safe environment for people to explore their own system and how they walk in the world in order to open to a fuller sense of their potential. I am a Mama and believe if all Mothers received the support their bodies, hearts and souls need 80% of the problems of the world would dissolve.

Dan Hayden
Facilitator
I have worn a lot of different hats in my life, I am a vocalist, former wilderness therapy guide, carpenter, and currently working as a property manager. My wife and I have called Durango home for the past 8 years and we are new parents to our son, Hollis. After crossing the threshold into fatherhood I felt the deepest sense of gratitude and responsibility to raise a healthy boy in this world.
I immediately knew I could not do this alone. So I sought out guidance from other men that were raising children in a way that I admired. I had the opportunity to complete a "Guide Training" with a mentor, Dan Doty, working alongside 10 other men from all walks of life. The goal was to gain clarity, confidence and direction as healthy leaders in our homes and communities with the support of a group of men. I gained much needed brothers at this time of my life and long to pass that on! In doing so, I've deepened my abilities to facilitate, sharing honestly, listening, and learning to not take things too seriously and have some fun, which is all more of what I want to see in the world.
The weight of fatherhood is real and I long to help create deep connections with other men to help carry that weight so we can be more healthy, strong, joyful, fathers. My hope is to enjoy the true gift of fatherhood and step further away from the story of a "burnt out Dad" trying to do it all on his own. I am grateful to be a part of the For Love and Babes community and truly humbled and excited to get to facilitate For Love and Fatherhood.

Julie Goodman
Facilitator
I’ve worked in social work for more than 30 years, in roles ranging from hospice social worker to advocating for restorative justice practices in the criminal justice system. For the past 15 years, my focus has been supporting young children and families. I worked as a family advocate for the Southern Ute Head Start/Early Head Start program, and later became a home visitor with SafeCare, a parent support program for families with children ages birth to five.
Now, I train and coach new SafeCare Colorado parent support providers and help support sites across the state as they implement the program.
What drew me to For Love and Babes and their support groups is my strong belief in the healing, joy, and growth that happen through relationships and community. When our two daughters were young, my husband and I chose to live in a cohousing community because we wanted to build close relationships and support one another through the everyday ups and downs of life. The saying “It takes a village” really felt true for us. I believe support groups for new moms can become that kind of village—a caring community to support and walk alongside parents as they begin their parenting journey.

Calley Hoffman
Facilitator
Hello! I’m Calley, a new mama to my son, Hollis, and recent participant of the mom and baby group. I am honored to step into the role of holding space and give back from the abundance of support I received early postpartum.
I am a steward of the Harmonic Egg in our community, a non-invasive sound therapy utilizing vibration, frequencies, light and color to regulate, rebalance and restore all parts of ourselves. Holding space with a client before an Egg session is a powerful time of vulnerability, authenticity and connection that I encourage and value deeply. That is why I feel it is so powerful to have a physical space to gather as women after giving birth. To be vulnerable in our sharing and to compassionately witness each other is such a radical act in today’s world and I look forward to keeping these gatherings alive with this team.
We are not meant to mother in isolation and the work of supporting mothers in every phase of life is what I believe will bring us back into natural rhythm with ourselves and the earth, a pace that is needed now more than ever.

Natali Ittenberg
Facilitator
Hey, I am Natali. I first joined this mothers’ support group in July 2024 when my son, Asher, was just a newborn. From the very first meeting, I felt a deep connection with other moms who were experiencing the same joys and challenges of early motherhood. Sharing our stories, emotions, and both the beautiful and difficult moments created a sense of belonging that was truly invaluable.
Now, with Asher approaching his first birthday, I feel called to return to this supportive space—not just as a participant, but as a facilitator. I deeply believe that we, as human beings, thrive in a strong and nurturing community. Motherhood is a profound transformation, and no one should have to navigate it alone. Having a safe, understanding, and welcoming space where we can share, support, and grow together makes all the difference. I’m honored to be here for new moms on their journey.

Kelly Skaggs
Facilitator
Hi Everyone! I am Kelly and am thrilled to be a part of the For Love and Babes group. I first attended this group when I had my son Ollie 2.5 years ago. I feel so lucky to be able to help facilitate these groups to other new mothers in our community as I have experienced firsthand the impact that connecting with new mothers can do.
There is nothing like the connection you can build with other new moms experiencing such similar things. I love the immediate bond that is formed when sharing space with other mothers who are going through the similar ups and downs of postpartum life.
Currently I stay home full time with my son Ollie and am expecting another baby early Summer. My background is in psychology and I was a school counselor prior to entering motherhood. I became extremely passionate about birth and breastfeeding when I was pregnant and decided to pursue getting my CLC certification. I offer home visits, lactation consultations and teach breastfeeding workshops to expecting mothers in our community!
