Prenatal Yoga

I teach a weekly prenatal yoga class at YogaDurango, which incorporates elements of community-building, safe and supportive yoga movement and postures, and pregnancy-appropriate restorative poses for deep relaxation. I have been teaching yoga since 2008, leading classes at YogaDurango since 2014, and have been holding space for women on their pre and post-natal journeys since 2020. I am also available for virtual support and classes, as well as privates upon request.

Physical Therapy

Having graduated from physical therapy school in 2014, I had always known that I wanted to pursue a career in women’s and pelvic health. I went on to become a double board-certified practitioner in 2017 and it’s been a privilege to fill my case load entirely with this patient population. I love working with people to achieve their goals during pregnancy, post-partum and everywhere in between. I emphasize hands on manual therapy but also include neurological feedback, therapeutic exercise and education to cover all of the bases to ensure maximum improvements and long-term solutions are achieved. Pregnancy is such a beautiful journey full of ups and downs and I’m here to help in every way I can. During pregnancy, I help individuals learn how all of the hormonal and physical changes can impacts their bodies. I love integrating postural awareness, breath work, musculature stability, surface EMG biofeedback for coordination and hands on treatment that often allows a patient to enjoy pregnancy instead of feeling limited by symptoms. It’s not uncommon to experience low back pain, urinary incontinence, bowel dysfunction, pubic symphysis dysfunction, pelvic pain among others at varying times. The good news is that all of these symptoms can be improved with physical therapy. Checking in post-partum is one of the most often overlooked wellness visits and I get it being a mom of two! People are busy in this season but it’s always a good idea to ensure everything is settling back into a rhythm so there are no surprises later. I check for diastasis recti, assess the pelvic floor for timing, coordination and strength, check for pelvic organ prolapse, sexual function and all specific symptoms that may be presenting. The goal of post-partum is to ensure people get back to doing what they love confidently and symptom free. Don’t hesitate to reach out and chat with me as I’d love to hear your story and discuss how I can help you achieve your goals.
