The Long Becoming
Who This Is For

The Long Becoming is a seasonal support circle for mothers whose babies are no longer babies — often parenting toddlers — and who are still very much in the ongoing transformation of matrescence.
This is the phase when check-ins slow down, support drops away, and many mothers quietly wonder why things still feel so hard — or even harder — than before. You're expected to be "settled" by now, even if you don't feel that way at all.
This group exists to name that reality and offer a place to be held inside it.

What This Is Not

This is not a parenting class or a playgroup. There is no fixing, teaching, or optimizing here. Instead, we gather for honest conversation, nervous-system-safe connection, and the relief of being with other mothers who understand this season from the inside.

This Is For You If

Your baby is no longer a baby and things still feel hard — or harder
You're past the postpartum window but don't feel finished or settled
You're tired of performing okayness
You want to be witnessed, not fixed

How We Meet
Daily WhatsApp Connection
Send a voice message while folding laundry. Connect during naptime. Ask for support at bedtime when you're overwhelmed. This is where the real support happens - in your actual life, when you need it most. Other mothers respond when they can. You respond when you can. But you're never alone in it.
Monthly Live Calls
We gather on Zoom three times each month for deeper conversation around themes like identity shifts, relationship changes, grief, and the ongoing work of becoming. These calls are gently facilitated with space for grounding, optional sharing, and reflection. Silence is welcome. Presence is enough. Can't make it? That's motherhood - the WhatsApp community continues.
Sacred Container
This isn't about getting back to who you were. It's about making sense of who you're becoming now. With other mothers asking the same question: If this is my life now, who am I in it?

Who Is Welcome

Mothers of all backgrounds, family structures, identities, and lived experiences are welcome here.
