La Plata County

Cafe Au Play

  • Open for all ages, and free!

Durango Fish Hatchery

  • Free and a hit for all ages!

Durango Gymnastics

  • Open gym: Mondays and Thursdays 11:00-12:00, $8/kid and open for children ages 5 and under (walking preferable).

  • Class offerings that you can sign kids up for.

Durango Public Library

  • Family Storytime: Thursdays 10:30-11:00, FREE and open for all ages.

  • Young children's family storytime: Fridays 10:30-11:00, FREE and preferred ages <1 year.

Durango Rec Center Swimming Pool

  • Admission fee for adults, children 3 and under free.

  • Great for all ages.

Powerhouse Science Center

  • Hours/days vary based on season.

  • Admission fee for non members

  • Open for all ages, but crawling and up would probably be more suitable!

  • Depending on the season, they have a special toddler day.

The Community Treehouse

  • A play/support center where you can meet other parents and kids can meet new friends.

  • Offers parent work time lounge hours.

Montezuma County

Cortez Public Library

  • The children's section is family-friendly. There is a rainbow entryway, a fun maze through the stacks, interactive toys, murals, interactive rugs, coloring pages, and a teepee.

Cortez Rec Center Pool

  • Admission fee for adults, children 4 and under free.

  • Great for all ages.

Dolores Public Library

  • Family Storytime: Monday 10:30-11:00 am, FREE and open for all ages.

  • Alternating Fridays Lego Lab is open to kids ages kindergarten and up every other Friday from 1-2pm.

  • Alternating Fridays STEAM Space open to K+, curated projects every other Friday from 1-2 pm.

Mancos Public Library

  • Meet up every Tuesday from 4-5:30 in the children's room to have a playdate with other families with 5 and under kiddos. Parents are required to stay and supervise. Older siblings are welcome as well.

  • Family Storytime: Wednesday 10:30-11:00 am for 0-5 year olds; older siblings are welcome.

  • Lego Lab every Friday 1-3 pm for kids ages 5-14.

San Juan County

E3 Children's Museum

  • Tots Turf is an area for 5 and under

  • The main gallery has hands-on, science related interactives.

  • Offers various programs such as Toddler Paydates, Early Explorers STEAM and Art! Attacks.

  • Donation based

Farmington Museum

  • Experience a wide variety of exhibits relating to the diverse history of the area’s cultures, traveling exhibits, and art shows.

  • Exhibits, events, and kids programs are changing frequently.

Fly High Trampoline Park

  • Prices vary by age

  • Ages 3 and up
